Brandy was born in Southern California, but moved to Arkansas as a youth. She was the first in her family to attend college and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2002 with a Bachelors in Sociology and Psychology. After college, she spent seven years as a parole/probation agent. It was through this experience that she saw the need for quality legal representation for immigrants. In 2013, Brandy moved to Idaho with her husband and five children. After this move, Brandy enrolled at Concordia University School of Law, where she graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2018. While in law school, Brandy knew she wanted to be an immigration attorney and focused on immigration law, participating in the immigration clinic and Project LAURA (a nonprofit established to help unaccompanied youth in immigration proceedings). After graduation, Brandy created a nonprofit immigration legal services program in Caldwell, Idaho, named Familias Unidas. After four years with this program, she decided it was time to start her own firm. In her free time, Brandy enjoys spending time with her husband and five children, reading, and knitting.
Michelle was born in New York to Puerto Rican parents. She moved to Puerto Rico as a teenager and lived there for twenty years. Michelle graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 2001 with a Bachelors in Psychology. She used her degree to serve as a school teacher first in Puerto Rico and then in Texas when her husband was stationed there. After the military moved the family to Idaho, Michelle decided to try something new and, in 2019, took a position as a caseworker with Brandy at Familias Unidas. In that same year, she became a US DOJ Accredited Representative, which allowed her to represent clients directly before USCIS. In May 2021, Michelle obtained her Master’s in Counseling. Michelle then followed Brandy in her new venture of Pérez Law in 2021. Michelle is experienced in every area of immigration law that Pérez Law provides representation. She applies her advanced degree to helping Pérez Law clients through the complicated immigration processes. She is dedicated to serving the immigrant community with compassion and empathy. In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her wonderful son, Armando, her two dogs, and her husband, Rafael.
